Here an Old tree has been cleaned up and trimmed up .. adds visual interest and center piece to this relatively small garden.

Just got to find that narly bent tree and mount it securely in your garden.

P.S. Driftwood could be another possibly simpler alternate?

Simple Rock Sculpture

Rock Sculpture displays simplicity!

Inspired Rock Art with just two stones, one can create a cool rock element, maybe what no one else has for your garden paradise.

Easiest way to create a stone sculpture is to use what you have .. but if you want to duplicate this design you will need to go to the rock quarry or your local garden center.

Entrepreneur’s built wooden Mills in the 1700 and 1800’s powered by water allowing them to cut Lumber and grind flour.

A creek or gorge water was in an elevated channel, called a flume, where water would fall on top of a wood wheel turning it clockwise to create the power to grind the grain into flour.

This is an “overshot stone wheel design” was capable of grinding thousands of pounds of grain per day.

Garden Water Pond

When looking for a water feature, one the first things is to consider scale … it is very easy to just buy one you fancy and then get it home to find it is too tiny for the spot you had in mind. Good part about buying a water feature at your local retailer is that you probably can easily return it, usually for full refund.

The fun part for me about having a garden water feature is that it attracts birds during the dryer summer times … if water fountain is close to your patio seating area or a window .. it is quite a cool experience to have them get so close … watching visiting birds coming and going about their business is enjoyable relaxed time.

A couple safety considerations, is that other insects are interested in your water source, these include wasps and bees and can be annoying and a sting hazard to some .. especially if they frequent your patio area .. and are constantly flying through your seating area. Also to be aware of young children may be temped to touch the water, if in reach, maybe afterwards put their hands in their mouth. Remember that bacteria from summer heat … and birds poop will contaminate your water … good warn to your kids and any visiting children not to touch the water.

The fastest way to get a water pond and/or fountain is to buy a prefabricated water feature … smaller water features can be found at home improvement retailers like Ace Hardware, Lowes, Home Depot, ADEO,… and your local garden center may have larger water fountains in more elaborate garden styles.

Wood Pallet Wall Design

Wood Pallets repurposed into a simple wall design arrangement for displaying plants. Different plants are placed in plastic flowers trays which retains water … these small plants can found a typical building store or garden center. 

Used in an outdoor patio area at a pub!   

Inuksuk Statute

Stone Inuksuk statue can be used for garden or landscape design accents.   In-uk-suk,  can be difficult to say at first, historically a man-made stone landmark or cairn used by the Inuit, Iñupiat, Kalaallit, Yupik people of the Arctic region of North America.
